Gravity4 Acquires Pixels, Marking the Company’s Entry into Asia

Adds 100 people globally; combined group’s revenue in Asia to surpass $40 million in 2016.

———-

Gravity4, the world’s first high frequency marketing cloud, today announced the acquisition of a 93.7% ownership stake in Pixels, an award-winning multi-screen

advertising technology company headquartered in Hong Kong. This move marks Gravity4’s entry into the South East Asia and Hong Kong markets.

“Pixels not only boasts one of the smartest management teams I’ve ever met, but they have also built a great business and a mobile DCO platform that we can’t wait to deploy on a global level,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, Chairman and CEO of Gravity4. “We’re also very excited about entering Asia and introducing our marketing cloud and programmatic offering to this dynamic market,” said Mr. Chahal.

Throughout Asia and the world, marketers are rapidly adopting digital advertising and the sector is experiencing high growth. According to eMarketer, digital ad spend in the Asia Pacific region is expected to rise 22% to $70 billion in 2016*, with mobile and video advertising platforms being key to this growth.

Recently, Pixels introduced mobile ad offerings that include groundbreaking HTML5-based rich media creatives that encourage advertisers to engage users. This, along with its vast network of premium and category leading publishers, reinforces Pixels’ market-leading position as a must-have partner for mobile digital advertising innovation.

“We are extremely pleased to become a part of the Gravity4 family,” said Kevin Huang, Co-founder and CEO of Pixels. “Our advertisers, partners, and employees will see the immediate benefits of being part of Gravity4. With the introduction of Gravity4’s marketing cloud to the Asian market, our customers will reap the benefits of modern cloud marketing technology, as Asia sits at the cusp of a digital advertising boom,” said Mr. Huang.

Pixels was created in October 2014, the result a merger between Pixel Media, Snap Mobile, and Adsfactor, and is one of the largest digital media entities in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. The company has just over 100 employees and is headquarters in Hong Kong, with additional offices in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Shanghai.

Pixels’ multi-screen advertising technology and media assets enable advertisers to reach their target audience and marketing objectives as consumers navigate across digital devices, platforms, and screens. This includes display advertising, in-stream video, targeting solutions, and branded content.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Gravity4 plans on acquiring the outstanding 6.3% of Pixels shares in the next few months and integrate Pixels into the Gravity4 Marketing Cloud. Kevin Huang will continue to lead the company in Asia.

Gravity4 Acquires Conyak, Adding Dynamic Creative Optimization with a Built-in Recommendation Engine Across All Devices to the Gravity4 Marketing Cloud

Gravity4’s Thirteenth Acquisition Adds Next Generation Cross-Device Targeting to its Revolutionary Marketing Platform

Gravity4, the world’s first high frequency marketing cloud, today announced the acquisition of Conyak, a Denmark-based company specializing in dynamic creative optimization. Conyak’s patented technology allows advertisers to perform 100% accurate cross-device retargeting with dynamic product ads, and a recommendation engine that leverages past browsing behavior and consumer interests. This marks Gravity4’s thirteenth acquisition since the company was launched in July 2014.

“We are very excited to be working with Conyak,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, Chairman and CEO of Gravity4. “In terms of ROI for advertisers, they’re easily beating their nearest rival, Criteo, and we can’t wait to integrate their DCO platform and AI-based recommendation engine into the Gravity4 Marketing Cloud so we can share these incredible results with all of our customers globally,” said Mr. Chahal.

Two years in the making, Conyak’s technology makes it possible for advertisers to reach consumers at the “moment of intent,” on the best converting device, at the right time. Moreover, Conyak’s frequency controls span both campaigns and devices, which dramatically increases ROI by enabling advertisers to precisely manage their campaigns and insure maximum conversions.

“Over the past two years, our efforts to develop a disruptive, game-changing cross-device digital marketing platform have been rewarded by continuously increasing customer adoption,” said Christian Sundgaard, CEO of Conyak. “We are experiencing rapid growth in Northern Europe and we’re excited to amplify these gains as part of the Gravity4 family globally. Conyak’s goal has always been to ensure customer success by leveraging one-to-one marketing, and we are looking forward to taking our platform to the next level as part of the Gravity4 Marketing Cloud,” said Mr. Sundgaard.

“We chose to work with Conyak because of their technology, and their ability to track users across all consumer touch points,” said Marlene Schøler Sørensen, Project Manager at the WhiteAway Group, one of Denmark’s largest eCommerce websites. “By working with Conyak, we were able to achieve all of our ROI goals, easily surpassing results from previous partners. We are excited to see what we can do with the entire Gravity4 Marketing Cloud,” said Ms. Sørensen.

Gravity4 plans to integrate the Conyak team into its existing Copenhagen offices. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Gravity4 Acquires eXovue, the First Native SSP for Content Marketing, Adding Another Key Component to the Gravity4 Marketing Cloud

Gravity4, the world’s first high frequency marketing cloud, announced the acquisition of eXovue, the market’s first native SSP for content marketing, which allows publishers competitive access to all native demand channels. The acquisition of eXovue significantly expands the market opportunity for Gravity4 by empowering publishers and digital media companies with the means to successfully and efficiently navigate today’s native advertising and content recommendation strategies.

“Gravity4 has spent the past year building a world-class marketing cloud for advertisers. Now, our revolutionary platform offers a powerful solution for publishers; the first true supply-side platform for native advertising,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, Chairman and CEO of Gravity4. “The eXovue platform, seamlessly integrated with our marketing cloud, will enable publishers to dramatically increase revenue by creating competition between Native Demand partners.”

The Native landscape has grown substantially over the past few years. In a sector that once consisted of just Taboola and Outbrain, it has grown substantially to includes over 12 different companies vying for publisher inventory and generating billions of dollars in ad revenue in the process. eXovue has the only technology in the industry that helps optimize these ad units to deliver publishers the greatest return for the ad space.

“When we founded eXovue, we were determined to create a product that solved an existing and high-value publisher problem in the Native landscape,” said Justin Manes, CEO of eXovue. “The gap we identified is the lack of competition between Native Demand Partners.”

“As we brought our  product to market early this year, we found that publishers were already aware of the problem and highly receptive to our solution,” Manes said. “With early adoption exceeding all expectations we realized that we would need a strong partner with the right vision, resources and leadership to properly expand the business. Gravity4 is a terrific fit for eXovue, offering strong leadership, global presence, tremendous scale, and unique buy-side synergies. Additionally, Gravity4 fosters a culture of entrepreneurship, performance, and meritocracy. With this acquisition we are now mutually and enthusiastically in a position to maximize Gravity4’s native offering to publishers.”

eXovue’s solution will be renamed G4 Native SSP for Publishers (http://g4native.com/ssp), and the entire eXovue team will be integrated into Gravity4 organization. Mr. Manes will become Vice President of Native Solutions, and report to Mr. Chahal. This marks Gravity4’s twelfth acquisition since the company was launched in July 2014. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
